The natural tendencies of any lumber, including the 100% Solid Pacific Cedar that Playground One ! ® uses takes on the natural tendency of the tree in which it comes from to form minor surface “checks” (cracks), as it acclimates to its environment and the uncontrollable changes in weather. In almost all cases this is normal, and will not affect the structural integrity or safety of your play set.
